Financial Targets
The Stellenbosch University Council approved an amount of R320 million for financing the University’s new direction. Some of this was allocated as seed funding for the implementation of the initiatives of the respective faculties and support services.
Significantly more investment will be required to realise our vision. The University is working toward raising a further minimum amount of R1.75 billion:
- Academic Initiatives: R450 million
- Staff Success (including Chairs): R225 million
- Student Success (including bursary funds): R225 million
- Facilities and Infrastructure: R850 million
