Leave a bequest

Page Content What is a bequest?
Consider leaving your own legacy for the Stellenbosch University of tomorrow and ensure your visionary commitment to education is secured for future generations.
A bequest is a donation from your deceased estate. You can make a bequest in your will to bequeath cash, shares or any other form of property to Stellenbosch University.
Benefits of making a bequest
A bequest to the University is exempted from estate duty, regardless of the size of the bequest. By bequeathing a percentage of your estate to the University, rather than a specific amount, the depreciatory effect of inflation can be counteracted.
Bequest donors who confirm their bequests to Stellenbosch University, become members of The Heritage Guild, allowing us to thank you, celebrate and recognize your contribution during your lifetime.
How do I make a bequest?
Making a bequest to Stellenbosch University is easy. Simply draw up a new will or add a codicil to an existing will.
