Strategic Objectives

For Stellenbosch University (SU) to retain its high standard of academic and research excellence and to enshrine its position as a relevant tertiary institution of the 21st century three strategic objectives have been escalated to the top of the priority list.

All three core activities of the University – teaching and learning, research and community – as well as the academic initiatives can succeed only if the University creates opportunities to ensure staff success and student success.

A third prerequisite for an institution that puts leading science and technology at the service of society and that wants to attract the best expertise and students is state-of-the-art facilities and technology.
