Student Success

South Africa lacks sufficient numbers of skilled and educated people to grow the nation and its many communities into the kind of place it can be: a nation with a strong economy, vibrant civil society, a regional strength in tackling social and health challenges and a growing stature amongst developing nations. In reality, South Africa ranks poorly on global development indices measuring quality of life, mortality, employment and economic fundamentals.

Yet, the potential and talent exist to shape professionals who are willing, able, creative, entrepreneurial, passionate about learning, socially conscious and excited about social action and change that they themselves can bring about. Education shapes that talent, and at no better place on the African continent than at Stellenbosch University.

Since 1918 the University has produced in excess of 100 000 graduates in Law, Health Sciences, Economic and Management Sciences, Engineering, Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Theology, Military Science, AgriSciences and Education.
